Impostor syndrome is a psychological condition where individuals doubt their accomplishments and feel like frauds, attributing success to luck rather than ability. Women entrepreneurs often experience it more acutely due to societal expectations, gender bias, and fewer female role models. This feeling can be exacerbated by fear of failure and negative self-talk. To overcome impostor syndrome, women should acknowledge their feelings, challenge self-doubt with positive affirmations, seek support from mentors and peers, set realistic goals, view mistakes as learning opportunities, and invest in skill development. Building a supportive network and recognizing that impostor syndrome affects all genders can also help in overcoming this challenge and realizing one’s full potential.
