The Social Enterprises
Reine Food Enterprise
Cameroon
Reine Food Enterprise, founded by Sama Irene, has made a significant impact since 2019 by addressing infant malnutrition during the transition from breast milk to solid food. They offer nutritious, affordable soy-based yogurt and milk blend rich in protein and calcium, sourced from local farmers who struggle to export due to their small-scale operations. Their products provide essential nutrients that many impoverished families in Cameroon struggle to afford, ensuring that children receive the nutrients they need during this critical stage.
Reine Food Enterprise will use RAMA Impact’s financial and non-financial support to expand its reach to South East Cameroon. It aims to benefit an additional 1 million children, support additional local farmers, and increase its revenues by 50%.

Smart Havens Africa (SHA) is a social enterprise, founded and headed by Anne, focused on providing affordable pathways to homeownership for low-income families, especially women-headed households who often face barriers to secure long-term housing. SHA’s mission extends beyond building sustainable and environmental friendly homes to empowering families by creating jobs, promoting financial literacy and supporting women’s empowerment. With 70% of women-headed families in Uganda living in informal settlements and just 1% of the population having access to housing finance, SHA works to tackle housing poverty, offering hope for a future where women have the skills and resources to thrive.
